Biography
Born in Montreal, Quebec, to Moroccan parents, Emmanuelle Chriqui grew up a little southwest of there, in a Toronto suburb. Anxious to act from an early age, she was fortunate to have an older brother willing to pay for her early acting classes. She wasted little time finding work, landing a string of television commercials including what amounted to her professional debut, an appearance in an ad for McDonalds. On finishing high school, Chriqui moved to Vancouver and began life as a struggling actress, working various jobs while landing roles on Canadian TV and some B-movies.

Leaving the Pacific northwest for Los Angeles was a solid career move for Emmanuelle Chriqui; she couldn't possibly hope to achieve much grinding out her days on made-for-Canadian TV movies. It didn't take her long after arriving in Hollywood for her to start building an impressive film resume, beginning around 1999 with Detroit Rock City, and including Snow Day (2000), Wrong Turn (2003), The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005), Adam and Eve (2005), and You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008).

In 2005, Emmanuelle Chriqui's fortunes would change drastically when she was hired on to play E's love interest for season two on Entourage. The relationship has been on-again, off-again ever since, threaded across five seasons. Although she appeared on both Unscripted and The O.C., without question, the role of Sloan has raised Chriqui's profile more than any other.

Emmanuelle Chriqui debuted on AM's coveted annual list in 2008 at a respectable No. 40, but 2009 would see her take a tremendous leap forward in the eyes and minds of AM readers, who placed her at No. 12 in 2009. She would also begin to land on similar lists from Maxim, Stuff and FHM.

Emmanuelle Chriqui will hit the ground running in 2010 with at least four films either in production or rumored. She'll co-star with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Sebastian Gutierrez's Electra Luxx, then alongside Mickey Rourke and Ray Liotta in 13, and she's rumored to be starring in the independent drama Walks and providing a voice in the Anime adaptation Gatchaman.
