Myleene Klass: ‘I’m just an average girl from Norfolk’

“I’m so sorry,” laughs Mum. “I thought she had got quite adept at interview situations…” She skedaddles out of the room at the kind of breakneck speed one only witnesses in new mothers or Olympic sprinters, and then skedaddles back just as quickly. “Oh no. That’s going to be your intro, isn’t it?”
There are some people you encounter in life who leave you wide-eyed and amazed. Who make you wonder: how? Myleene Klass, juggling her baby and her career, is one of them.
How did she manage to survive two reality shows - Popstars, a precursor to X Factor, and I’m a Celebrity - and not come to be thought of as a vapid celebrity wannabe?
How did she then go on to be so popular that she now has two radio shows, various television presenting commitments for ITV1, CNN and the BBC (she has fronted The One Show and The People’s Quiz) and, oops… did I forget to mention her career as a classical pianist?
And how, exactly, did she lose the baby weight so quickly that she’s already back modelling for M&S alongside Twiggy and Erin O’Connor?
