A face ravaged by “crack scabs”; a husband behind bars; murmurs of divorce; the fatal overdose of the backing musician Jason Rae (husband of Corinne Bailey Rae): every day the newspapers reveal more scandal from the life of Amy Winehouse.
And all these stories have appeared in the past couple of weeks: too late for inclusion in the two biographies of the “troubled singer” that hit the shelves this week, already past their read-by dates.
