Alicia Keys to play the Palace June 6

Seats are $39.50-$75 and will go on sale at noon April 12 through Ticketmaster (248-645-6666 or www.ticketmaster.com) and at the Palace box office.
The summer concert will be Keys’ first Detroit area performance since the release of her blockbuster album “As I Am,” which logged 15 weeks atop the Billboard 200 after it bowed in November. The album has sold 3.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
The June show will also mark the first headlining performance at the Palace for Keys, who played the arena in April 2004 as the opening act for Beyonce. The Fox Theatre had been Keys’ most frequent Detroit concert home in the years following her 2001 breakout.
