‘Girls Aloud saved my life’

A fan is spending more than £100 on flowers for the group because he believes their music saved his life.

Kevin Ash, from Grangetown, Cardiff, wants to thank the girl band after their music helped to pull him out of a deep suicidal depression.

The 50-year-old tried to take his own life last year but said he was encouraged to turn his life around by ’s positive music.

Kevin suffers from depression, diabetes, a bad back and epilepsy, which causes him to have black-outs up to six times a day.

The condition meant he had to leave his administration job and he has since become increasingly reliant on his parents, who are both disabled.

He said: “Last year, with all the pain, and the fact that my life seemed to be going nowhere, it all seemed too much.

“The depression set in and I was at the point of committing suicide but my family stopped me from going through with it.
