Amy Winehouse

Despite a past marred with booze, drugs and who knows what else, Dennis Hopper somehow made it to 71 years old, looking great.
Yeah, this is the same guy who was found wandering naked in the Mexican jungle after a cocaine binge in the 80s. His “Easy Rider” co-star Jack Nicholson, one year his junior, should be ashamed.

Amy Winehouse Had a Rough Night

April 5th, 2008 admin

Amy Winehouse

She’s been pretty reclusive lately, but that all changed last night.   had quite the evening as she gallivanted around London.

The night began with the “Rehab” singer answering the door in a pair of cutoff shorts and a see-through animal print top.  And she was none too thrilled with the throng of paparazzi waiting for her.

From there, things went from bad to worse.  Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw paid her a visit and enticed Winehouse to come out with him and a pal, singer Remi Nicole.  Right away there was drama, with an argument ensuing regarding where they were going to go.

Amy Winehouse Will Play T In The Park

March 14th, 2008 admin

Amy Winehouse

is to perform at this year’s T in the Park and admits: “I wish I could play Scotland every night.”

The beehived singer, 24, has confirmed her date at Scotland’s biggest music weekender to make up for pulling out of last year’s event.

The announcement follows five Grammy award wins for the star who cited “exhaustion” for her no-show last time.

Festival director Geoff Ellis revealed Amy had apologised for missing T 2007 and praised Scots fans on her last trip to Scotland.

She played two Glasgow Barrowland shows last November - just days after hubby Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested for allegedly attempting to pervert the course of justice - and admitted she was blown away by the reception. Despite battling booze and drugs addiction, Amy told Geoff she can’t wait to return to Scotland.

He said: “It’s always been the intention to have Amy come to play T in the Park after what happened last year.

“We didn’t want to put pressure on Amy but she felt really bad about pulling out and, if ever she needed reassurance about how the Scottish public felt about her, playing those two nights at the Barrowland really slammed it home.

March 14th, 2008 admin

Amy Winehouse

Their extramarital affair continued for almost a decade before Mitch eventually left his family to move in with his mistress - and then married her in 1996.

Amy and her older brother Alex grew up aware of the mistress and even had a special name for her - ‘Daddy’s work wife’.

Amy Winehouse’s Dad Wonders “What If…”

March 14th, 2008 admin

Amy Winehouse

’s father, Mitch, is taking the blame (or is it the credit?) for his daughter’s less-than-happy music, saying the troubled singer channeled her rage about his marriage-ending affair into her songs.

But he stopped short of taking responsibility for Winehouse’s drug problems: “It is easy for me to say it is my fault, and that had I been a better parent this would not have happened. But who knows whether it would or not?”

You’re right, Mitch. It’s hard to know whether a confidence-shattering affair that splits your family apart during your daughter’s most impressionable years could possibly have influenced her to seek solace in those all-understanding drugs.
