In 1999 Christina Aguilera released her self-entitled debut album, which may not have created quite the same splash as her pop peers like Britney Spears and ‘N Sync, but established her as a force to be reckoned with and showed the world she wasn’t just a product of good recycled marketing, but a real singer with a powerful voice. She even ended up edging out rival Britney Spears, and singers Macy Gray and Kid Rock for Best New Artist in 2001, which shocked both the world and Christina herself.

But it wasn’t until her eclectic, very personal sophomore album Stripped that Aguilera showed not only the ferocity and elasticity of her vocal chops, but her power to provoke, inspire, and innovate. Mistaken as a representation of her newfound in-your-face sexuality, the title Stripped actually was indicative of the very personal, emotional lyrics found throughout the LP. She picked up another Grammy for her critically acclaimed Linda Perry-penned hit “Beautiful”, the video for which garnered her an award from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation for her positive images of gay people.

Christina Aguilera is “dead to me”, whines Perez Hilton’s sorry, Sony-sued arse

Perez Hilton has announced that all of Sony/BMG’s artists are “dead to him” in reaction to the label’s lawsuit against the celeb blogger.

The site will now be boycotting Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, The Gossip, Adele, Justin Timberlake, and Whitney Houston among others.

“These are some of our favorite musicians, it really, truly pains us not to talk about them,” it said on PerezHilton.com. “Why should we help the company suing us make money?”

The lawsuit was brought by the label’s subsidiary, Zomba, back in October after the site streamed Britney Spears songs without permission. To be fair to PerezHilton.com, they did remove them as soon as they were warned but the company lawyers have been reluctant to let go.

Christina Aguilera takes on the Rolling Stones

When I first heard that Christina Aguilera was going to be singing a duet with Mick Jagger in Shine a Light, the new Martin Scorsese documentary about the Rolling Stones that premieres on Friday, I immediately wondered, “Why Christina?”
I felt a little better about my own confusion when I read that Stones guitarist Keith Richards was confused as well. At the live performance when the footage for the documentary was filmed, Richards apparently thought Christina was just some young female fan that had gotten through security and onto the stage!

Halle Berry Ready to Give Birth

Halle Berry was spotted out shopping in Beverly Hills on Monday and looks as if she is due to give birth at any time. The actress is expecting her first child with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

Several other stars have recently given birth to their babies. Nicole Richie had her first child in January as did Christina Aguilera. Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony welcomed twins in February.

Christina Aguilera pays homage to Hitchcock Heroines in a new campaign

With her “Dirrty” image behind, Christina Aguilera has again turned to Old Hollywood for inspiration.

The singer has channelled “Hitchcock Heroines”, including the likes of The Birds leading lady Tippi Hedren, Rear Window star Grace Kelly and North by Northwest’s Eva Marie Saint, in a new campaign for Stephen Webster jewellery line.

With her peroxide-blonde coiffed hair, lashings of lipstick and doe-eyes, the star, who gave birth to her first child Max in January, is at her glamorous best in the new advertisements.

Christina Aguilera Talks Shedding Her Baby Weight

LOS ANGELES, Calif. –

Since giving birth to son Max two months ago, Christina Aguilera has undergone a fierce weight loss regimen.

As it turns out, nursing her little boy is the real secret behind newly slimmed-down mommy Christina.

“I think they say that when you’re breast feeding, you know, your weight kind of slims down. It’s a little easier,” Christina told Access Hollywood. “It’s like a workout within itself. It’s very tiring actually and you find yourself snacking more often.”

But before Max came, a four-months pregnant Christina (who kept her news a secret at the time) posed as a Hitchcock heroine for a new ad campaign for the Stephen Webster jewelry line.

Christina appeared as a classic femme fatale in the shoot, donning a little black dress, leopard skin belt, stilettos and fishnet knee-highs.

“Where we took the ads I think, is a really original place. It was fun experimenting with that,” Christina said. “Some of the Alfred Hitchcock movies we drew inspiration from for the ads were… ‘Rear Window,’ [and] ‘Dial M for Murder.’”

Christina and Stephen are long time friends. He has designed many pieces for her including her wedding ring.

Songstress Christina Aguilera, 27, has been working to lose her baby weight after giving birth to son Max Liron on January 12th.  In the process, she has learned the best secret for her is breastfeeding.

I think they say that when you’re breastfeeding, you know, your weight kind of slims down. It’s a little easier. It’s like a workout within itself. It’s very tiring actually and you find yourself snacking more often.

Christina is married to music marketing executive Jordan Bratman, 30.

Aguilera thanks breast-feeding for post-baby body

New mum Christina Aguilera says her slimline post-baby figure is down to breastfeeding.

The Dirrty singer - who gave birth to son Max Liron, her first baby with husband Jordan Bratman, two months ago - insists feeding hungry Max is “like a workout in itself”.

She told US TV show Access Hollywood: “I think they say that when you’re breastfeeding, you know, your weight kind of slims down. It’s a little easier. It’s like a workout within itself. It’s very tiring actually and you find yourself snacking more often.”

Christina isn’t the only celebrity to have reclaimed their pre-pregnancy figure through nursing.

King Kong star Naomi Watts - who has an eight-month-old son Alexander with fiancé Liev Schreiber - shaped up by working out, but breastfeeding also helped her shed the excess pounds.

Mum Aguilera still sexy

Christina Aguilera has shot up FHM’s Sexiest Women list thanks to her post-pregnancy curves. The singer, who gave birth to son Max two months ago, has attracted 15,000 votes in the past week alone.

While other celebrities have shed their baby weight with alarming speed, Aguilera has been happy to show off her voluptuous new figure.

She is now in the top 25 of FHM’s Sexiest Women in the World list, which will be announced on April 24. But while men appear to love yummy mummies, pregnant celebrities are proving a turn-off. Last year’s winner Jessica Alba has plummeted in the rankings, as have expectant mums Angelina Jolie, Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman.
