Gemma Atkinson, Dannii Minogue set for Great Wall of China walkathon

London, Apr 8: The Great Wall Of China would soon be clouded by stars like Gemma Atkinson and Dannii Minogue, who will be taking part in a 142-mile walkathon along the wall, to raise money for cancer charities.

A host of other celebrities will be joining Atkinson and Minogue, while they take on sand storms and searing temperatures on one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

The idea of the charity walk, which started on Apr 8, came from Grease bombshell Olivia Newton-John, 59, who is trying to raise 2.5million pounds to build a cancer centre.

Team Britain in the challenge will include celebrities like veteran rocker Sir Cliff Richard, 67, Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton du Beke, 41, and Eighties punk star Toyah Willcox, 49.

Dannii, whose sister Kylie has battled breast cancer, will arrive at China on Apr 12 and will embark upon a four-day segment of the hike, where she’s expected to trek 30 miles in 14 hours despite warnings to prepare for harsh desert dust storms.

Smitten driver Lewis Hamilton woos Dannii Minogue

Since swapping numbers at an off-track party in February, the pair have stayed in touch according to The Sun newspaper in Britain which reports Lewis has been bombarding Dannii with text messages.

“Lewis has been texting Dannii like mad since they met in Melbourne,” says the source.

“He took a real shine to her.

“Lewis thought she was gorgeous and was really impressed with her knowledge of cars.

“He wanted to take her out for dinner that night but she had something on that she couldn’t cancel.”

So keen are the pair to rekindle the spark, that Dannii is headed to Monaco where Lewis is racing on May 25.

The singer and former Home and Away actress has long had a thing for race car drivers.

Dannii Minogue dates F1 driver Lewis Hamilton

London (ANI): It seems that British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton has the hots for Dannii Minogue, for the sports star has arranged a secret date with the Aussie singer at the Monaco Grand Prix next month. The two had swapped numbers following Hamilton’s Australian race victory last month. Since then, Hamilton has been bombarding Dannii with texts messages.

This will be the second F1 outing for Dannii, who was engaged to Jacques Villeneuve in 1999. “Lewis has been texting Dannii like mad since they met in Melbourne. Dannii Minogue gets ‘X Factor’ pay rise

Dannii Minogue has been given a pay rise by X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

The Aussie singer was the most successful mentor on last year’s series, with the final two acts - Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts - both coming from her ‘Boys’ category.

“Dannii will get a pay rise this time,” Cowell told The Mirror. “They usually do after the second series - plus she deserves it.”

Simon confirmed that Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have also been offered new contracts. However, he admitted that he has not yet spoken to Sharon about rumours that she wants to quit the show - and does not know if she will agree to return.

The 23-year-old F1 pin-up boy was seen getting up close and personal with Danni Minogue, at off-track soirees and, according to a source, he was “loving” our Danni despite looking quite taken with Miss Australia Caroline Pemberton just a day earlier.

It is no wonder sparks flew between Danni and Lewis — the pair have plenty in common. Lewis has a well-known fancy for older ladies and prior to flirting with 36-year-old Danni, he dated Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 30.

And Kylie’s little sister has a well-documented eye for F1 drivers. She was previously engaged to to retired driver Jacques Villeneuve.

Will Dannii Minogue get her US break?

WITH her big sis preparing for another assault on the American market, Dannii Minogue did some serious schmoozing with a man who could help her own dreams of US stardom.

Mini Minogue flew out of Melbourne at the weekend to attend a friend’s birthday party in Los Angeles.

The pal was none other than influential celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, celebrating his 30th at the ritzy Beverly Wilshire hotel.

“I’ve been a fan of Dannii’s and her music for a while,” Hilton said.

“I extended an invitation to her and I was thrilled that she was in town and able to come.”

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs, ’80s singer Tiffany, Britain’s Got Talent judge and ex-newspaper editor Piers Morgan and US actor Jerry O’Connell also attended the Cuban-themed bash, which Hilton plugged to his million-plus worldwide web audience.

Danielle Jane Minogue was born in 1971, the middle one between older sister Kylie Minogue and younger brother Brendan Minogue. By June 1978, she had secured a role in the Australian series “Skyways” (1979).
