Arena fundraising concerts bring Queen, Hilary Duff clones to Brussels

For fans of contemporary teeny pop to ‘70s era rock music, the Brussels Morris & Grey Community Centre was the place to be on Saturday.
Performers treated audiences to two separate shows.
A Hilary Duff and Hannah Montana tribute hit the stage in the morning.
Melissa Virdo, as Hilary Duff, and Jennifer Walls, as Hannah Montana, had dozens of tots and teens bopping along to the energetic live show, clapping their hands and snapping photos of the stage.
Later that night, a Queen clone band, Another One Bites the Dust, rocked the crowd with a set of songs from the flamboyant band’s catalogue.
More than 200 tickets sold for the first show, while the Queen tribute drew around 100 attendees.

Hilary Duff sheds good girl image with ’slutty’ role

Melbourne, Apr 7: American actress/singer Hilary Duff is all set to shed her good girl image with a raunchy role in her upcoming film.

The 20-year-old star plays the role of a “slutty” pop star in the John Cusack film, War, Inc, based on war profiteers.

“She played a pop idol from central Asia. So, she was like a Hilary but not Hilary, because Hilary is so classy, but like a real, and I won’t name names, but a real slutty pop star. … Hilary is the opposite of that, of course,” News.com.au quoted Cusack, as telling MTV.

“I think for her to play that, or to parody that, was really great.

“I think probably people wouldn’t know how talented she is. I mean, she’s a great actress. I just spent the entire fall with her and she was a revelation every day. I don’t think people know that yet, but they’re gonna,” he added.

HILARY Duff has taken on a raunchy role in a new flick, shooting a provocative scene with a deadly scorpion and a man with his hand down her pants.

Duff, who will no doubt shed her good girl image after this naughty role, plays the part of a “slutty” pop star in the John Cusack film, War, Inc.

Cusack handpicked the pretty star for the drama, which satirises war profiteers.

“She played a pop idol from central Asia. This is Not News: HILARY DUFF GONE WILD, HARRY POTTER TO BARE IT ALL AGAIN, UWE BOLL VERSES THE INTERNET

I swear these media outlets are giving me another ulcer … oh I already have a grapefruit one eating away at my stomach, don’t get me wrong … but I’m having that same feeling on the other side of my stomach now because these bastards just can’t seem to understand what actually should be reported and what should be considered a non-issue. Sigh … I need a drink.

Take the “news” recently about Hilary Duff’s racy and shocking YouTube video where she puts a scorpion down her pants and then has another dude play “Go Fish” and get it out. The thing is … the Internet, entertainment outlets and more have treated this as if she is turning into the new Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears … but guess what, this was a film clip for a movie starring Duff. This is Not News … this is a little something that what we like to call “acting.” Look it up. When you do something on film that goes to a movie theater, that’s called playing a part not actually shaving your head and bashing a car with an umbrella or checking into rehab. It’s amazing that media outlets can’t distinguish the difference, is that what it has come down to? Making a big deal over a movie part just because it happens to be racy?

While  Britney Spears was busy trying on clothes on the West Coast,  Hilary Duff and her boyfriend Mike Comrie were keeping the economy alive on the East Coast.

The cute couple was spotted out and about yesterday in New York City’s trendy Soho district in search of some new threads.

Looking very Pete Wentz-esque, the New York Islanders player sported a black zip-up hoodie with a black baseball cap and some distressed jeans, while his “So Yesterday” girlfriend looked a little more “uptown girl” in a black wool coat with a cute scarf and leather boots.

Hilary Duff Talks Covering Disney’s Mickey Mouse March

Hilary Duff knows her Disney history, and when she was asked to do a cover of the famous Mickey Mouse March for a Disney mobile promo, she naturally said yes.

Ms. Duff recently talked about updating the classic tune and making it her own on Japanese television.

“The Mickey Mouse March was such a classic song, you know, so many people know it.  And I feel it’s kind of like an anthem song when you hear it,” Hilary explained.  “You know, it’s kind of stuck in your head for a very long time.”

She admitted it was a humbling experience to do a new version of a song that’s been sung millions of times throughout the years.
