“Wanted”, the new film being released on June 27, has a new movie poster out giving a bit of info about her role.

The film follows 25-year-old Wes (), who lives a stagnant existence, and who many people expect very little from. then, one day his life changes drastically when his estranged father is murdered.  He meets Fox, Jolie’s character, and she recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad’s death by unlocking his dormant powers.

Bob Thompson: Common knowledge - Wanted’s Angelina Jolie keeps it together

Early buzz for Wanted, the stylish summer actioneer, is getting stronger with each test screening. In the film opening June 27, Jolie plays an assassin who enlists a timid clerk () into a secret society preparing to battle an evil army of killers. Think of her character as cross between a less sci-fi Laura Croft and a more-made up Mrs. Smith from Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Whatever, the film features lots of bullet-time action and some wild car chases. And there’s Rapper Common. He portrays Jolie’s partner called The Gunsmith, and he  admits Wanted is “intense.” And so is Jolie , he adds, “always really focused on what she’s doing” despite being hounded daily by the paparazzi every where she goes.

The Chicago-raised rapper and actor discovered that first hand when he joined Jolie and Brad Pitt for dinner one night in the Windy City during the shoot.

‘Atonement’ wins hat-trick of Empire awards

Wartime romance Atonement has won three prizes at Empire magazine’s annual awards ceremony, including best British film.

Its stars and were named best actor and actress after missing out at the BAFTAs and Oscars.

Keira, who was voted for by readers of the British film magazine, beat off stiff competition from , , and Cate Blanchett.

Atonement was the big winner on the night, with named Best Actor and the movie scooping Best British Film.

The Bourne Ultimatum was named Best Film, and star Matt Damon collected the accolade with director Paul Greengrass.

Matt said: “I want to say thank you to the readers of Empire because I don’t get many awards and I don’t get nominated for a lot of awards but when I do I tend to lose out to more younger, talented, better-looking guys like .”
