Jessica Alba, who is expecting her first child in June, did some shopping for her soon-to-be-born baby Thursday afternoon in Beverly Hills, People reported.

“She was picking up last-minute essentials,” says a source, of the actress who was shopping at baby store Bel Bambini, where she is registered. “She was so excited and said she was due any minute! She just seemed relaxed and ready to welcome home her baby.”

Jessica Alba muses over idea that she stole Ashlee Simpson’s thunder

Jessica Alba - whose wedding last week to Cash Warren was so secret that not even her brother or father knew about it* - was snapped here on Friday, looking gorgeous in a dressed-down kinda way, in a white shirt, jeans, cosy cardi and gorgeous brown hat.

And back at that secret wedding: a leading showbiz publicist has told MSNBC that “if you’re going to get pregnant, then get married, this is the way to do it.”

“On the same day that Jessica’s wedding was announced, people were hearing the early details about Ashlee [Simpson]’s wedding. They’re wondering whether she’s pregnant under that dress, while the Jessica Alba’s fans are just happy for her,” says the PR - adding that Jessica’s publicist Brad Cafarelli used to be the publicist for Ashlee and Jessica Simpson. The plot thickens!

Jessica Alba’s secret wedding surprises family

Washington (ANI): Hollywood actress Jessica Alba’s secret wedding to fiancee Cash Warren has come as a surprise to her family and close friends. The 27-year-old actress, who’s expecting her first child, married Warren, 31, on April 19 in Beverly Hills.

“Jessica and Cash’s ceremony surprised even good friends,” People quoted a source as saying. “She [used to feel] it would be okay to wait until after the baby was born to get married. But her traditional side must have really kicked in,” the source added. Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four star’s brother has indicated that the actress is planning a second wedding ceremony later this year (08).

Jessica Alba: baby wasn’t planned but also not a total accident

Jessica Alba has revealed that while her pregnancy was unplanned, it wasn’t really an accident because she and now fiance Cash Warren weren’t exactly practising safe sex.

Jessica, who is currently eight months pregnant with her first child, told Allure magazine recently: “I can’t say it was a total accident. Because you’re aware of when you’re being careful and when you’re not. It just happened so soon.”

Jessica Alba will give birth to a baby girl — predicts talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Mom-to-be Alba, who is currently eight months pregnant with her first child, knows the sex of her baby but will not reveal the answer to the public, reports contactmusic.com.

Even though DeGeneres tried to persuade Alba to reveal the baby’s gender, the stunning actress kept hush. DeGeneres believes Alba will give birth to a girl after tying a wedding ring to a string and holding it over Alba’s palm— only to have the ring move in a circular motion.

Jessica Alba Is So Random

So apparently there is a long-term staring competition currently under way online, at IBeatYou.com, and Jessica Alba has been pulled into the fold. She was challenged by “Lil’ Kevjumba” and surprisingly the actress has accepted his terms and made the video below.

I find this interesting for a few reasons, first and foremost, it kinda shows that Jessica has a sense of humor. I’m not a big fan of hers (add Alba to the list) but this goes a long way with me. I like when stars “are just like us” and I don’t have to find out from Us Weekly. If it’s the pregnancy hormones making her all fun and games, I say keep this woman knocked up!

Secondly, watching Jessica stare into the lens was like a million times better than “Awake,” or as every reviewer in the country called it, “Asleep.”

The heavily-pregnant actress kicked off a series of culinary classes at popular Hollywood restaurant Flavour of India on Monday (05May08).
The Fantastic Four star developed a taste for India while starring in Mike Myers’ new comedy The Love Guru - and now she’s keen to turn her kitchen into a curry house.
Hungry Alba admits food has become a big deal ever since she learned she was pregnant last year (07).
She says, “I have to make sure that I’m eating more of the right nutrients and vitamins, but I’m not used to eating this much.
“I’ve had to take time out of the day to eat before I get cranky and rundown and tired. Before I was just like the energizer bunny.

Jessica Alba Helps Out Pregnant Teens

Going through the pregnancy experience herself,  Jessica Alba was spotted lending a helping hand to underage expectant mothers in Los Angeles on Friday (May 2).

The “Good Luck Chuck” actress headed over to Thomas Riley High School - handing out gifts to help get the pregnant high-schoolers off on the right foot in their new babies’ care.

Meanwhile, Jessica, who’s expecting her first child with Cash Warren in June, is said to be planning a break from her career following the birth of her baby.

To this note, Jessica said: “I’m just going to sit back and figure out what this whole experience of being a mother is all about, and taking that in.”
