Katie Holmes to hit Broadway after Hollywood slump

Katie Holmes is on the verge of taking to the Broadway boards in an attempt to rejuvenate her career.

Her previous film, Mad Money, was a commercial and critical failure - and compounding attention on her marriage to Tom Cruise has diluted focus on her acting.

‘Katie’s feeling really down right now and she just wants to be hot property again,’ a friend told Now Magazine. ‘She feels washed up before she’s even 30.’

Katie was a favorite in hit TV show Dawson’s Creek in 1998 and progressed her career up to the 2005 blockbuster Batman Begins.

Her marriage to Scientologist Tom Cruise in 2006 was supposed to solidify her as a noted actress, but friends say Katie’s ‘distraught’ that it did not eventuate.

GOSSIP. Like most of the world, Tom Cruise is sick of Katie Holmes hanging out with Victoria Beckham. According to London’s Daily Mail, ScientoloTom thinks his wife (or at least the vacant human shell where the soul of his wife once resided) is getting too skinny — and it’s Posh’s fault.

“She is very thin largely because she is following Victoria’s strict 900-calories-a-day eating plan,” an anonymous source told the paper. “She is copying Victoria’s fad of eating seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans. She is tiny.”

Yep, that’s Katie Holmes’ big problem — eating too many edamame beans. That, and the fact that she’s been brainwashed by a lunatic cult that worships a dead science fiction writer.

Katie’s latest film failed to get good reviews and she’s been unable to get pregnant again.

Her friends are very worried for Katie and think Tom Cruise needs to drop Scientology.

They think Tom’s Scientology rants have left Katie lacking in confidence.

A source told Now magazine: “It’s been a tough year with all the embarrassing articles about Tom’s Scientology obsession.

“It’s affected Katie’s confidence and her image.

“She’s lost her status as a sex symbol – now it’s the peculiarities of her marriage that get all the attention.”

Katie Holmes to Release Clothing Line With Giorgio Armani

Fashion “it” girl Katie Holmes is set to release her own clothing line with Giorgio Armani, named Katie Holmes for Armani.

The 29-year-old actress and wife of Tom Cruise told the latest issue of OK! Magazine that her first collection will be aimed at toddlers. Using her nearly 2-year-old daughter Suri as inspiration, the line will be out by spring 2009.

Holmes also has a line for older children set to hit stores in fall 2009 and a line of women’s clothes and handbags for fall 2010.

Washington (ANI): Katie Holmes rep has shot down reports that the actress will soon be trying her hand at designing a children’s clothing line. OK! Magazine had reported that Holmes was so inspired by her daughter Suri, 2, that she had decided to team up with Giorgio Armani for a line for kids. However, her rep has now shot down the claims, stating that the reports are not true.

It was unclear as to why.

The line will begin with a toddler collection, followed by a children’s line, and then a women’s handbag collection.
