The cost of owning the world’s smallest breed of dog, a favourite with celebrites like Paris Hilton, Britnety Spears and Sharon Osbourne, far exceeds its larger cousins – a statistic that tells us much about the Chihuahua’s owners.

According to research carried out by the pet insurers esure, Chihuahua owners are twice as likely as keepers of other breeds to buy fresh meat, vegetables and gravy for their pets.

They also have a weakness for spoiling their dogs by giving them jeweled collars, designer doggie outfits or personalised beds.

London (ANI): The million bucks splashed and the endless pain suffered, courtesy plastic surgery, has finally paid off for Sharon Osbourne after she was named the Ultimate Plastic Surgery Success.

The 55-year-old defies her age by looking far younger after 120,000 pounds of stomach stapling, bum and facelifts, liposuction and a boob job. The X Factor judge was voted the Queen of Nip/Tuck in a poll of 3,000 women for telly’s FX Channel.

Sharon Osbourne named ‘Queen of the Nip and Tuck’

Sharon Osbourne has been named the ultimate plastic surgery success.

The 55-year-old X Factor judge - who has admitted to spending around 300,000 pounds (NZ$746,000) on cosmetic improvements - was named the Queen of the Nip and Tuck in a poll of 3,000 women for TV station FX Channel.

She beat 62-year-old actress Helen Mirren, who is rumoured to have had a subtle facelift, into second place.

A spokesman for FX, who show hit plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck, said: “Both look fantastic.”

Sharon - who is married to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne - recently said she regrets having had so much plastic surgery and has vowed never to go under the knife again.

Can Sharon Osbourne help bring our Sophie back?

HOLLYWOOD hunk Johnny Depp has already pledged his support.

Now the Queen of Darkness and the Hamster have vowed to help.

X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne and Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond have agreed to record a tape of commands to help wake up Hampshire teenager Sophie Wilkinson.

The 17-year-old from Bishop’s Waltham has been in a coma since suffering life-threatening head injuries after a horrific car crash last October in Swanmore.

Over the past six months her family have kept vigil at her bedside while searching for the key that will bring Sophie out of her deep sleep.

Their search has already led them to Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, who agreed to record a tape of physical commands for Sophie in the voice of his character, Captain Jack Sparrow.

Now Sophie’s parents, Andrew and Alison, are looking to get as many celebrity voices involved as possible and hope to set up their own charity in Sophie’s name, called Wake Up.

Dannii Minogue gets ‘X Factor’ pay rise

Dannii Minogue has been given a pay rise by X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

The Aussie singer was the most successful mentor on last year’s series, with the final two acts - Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts - both coming from her ‘Boys’ category.

“Dannii will get a pay rise this time,” Cowell told The Mirror. “They usually do after the second series - plus she deserves it.”

Simon confirmed that Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have also been offered new contracts. However, he admitted that he has not yet spoken to Sharon about rumours that she wants to quit the show - and does not know if she will agree to return.

X Factor: Sharon Osbourne asks for more money

Sharon Osbourne has demanded a higher salary for the next series of X Factor. The talent show judge has reportedly told Simon Cowell that she will only return to the show if he makes it worth her while.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love Sharon. She’s at least my third favourite Osbourne. But why on earth would Simon shell out to get her back on his show? What’s in it for him? Isn’t she basically making it quite easy for him to tell her to go away?…

After she’d acted up so much on the last series, it seems Cowell had tried to get Mrs O back for a bargain price. If you recall, all her acts had been eliminated by week five and she got all sad and jealous and even stormed off the show during the ad break on one show. Now she’s hosted the Brits, Shaz reckons she’s worth a bit more.

Sharon Osbourne ‘would have cancer again’

Fiery Sharon Osbourne has revealed that having cancer is an experience she would choose to repeat if she could live her life all over again.

The 55-year-old reality TV star & talent show judge successfully fought off colon cancer in 2002 - but her latest comments are likely to upset fellow sufferers not as lucky as she was.

During an Osbourne family vacation in Australia, Sharon told a local radio station: “If I was to map out my next life and the highs and lows I was to encounter, I’d leave cancer on the list.

“It taught me so much about myself, others and the world.”

The conversation then took another direction, leading Sharon - the wife of hell raising rocker Ozzy Osbourne - to slag off Kiss legend Gene Simmons.
